    Shipping Policies

    The Bookstore at The University of Montana is proud to offer you the most competitive shipping rates. All of our shipments are professionally packed to ensure the safety of your items in route.

    Our goal is to have your order shipped within 1 business day from the time the order was placed. That said, however, your order will typically ship within 12 hours after the time that it is printed by our staff. From that point, delivery time will depend on the shipping option you select.

    Returns – Course Materials

    • Save your receipt! It is required for returns.
    • Return the book by the return deadline
      • Full Refund deadline is the Monday after the first week of each semester
      • Refunds less a 25% Re-stocking fee occurs the Monday after the second week of each semester
    • Return new books in new condition (packworn, bent, beat-up, scratched, dented, etc., will be considered a used book and may not be eligible for return)
    • Books must have all price labels intact
    • Do not write in or on books
    • Special order deposits are non-refundable
    • Summer and Wintersession books can only be returned up to three days from the date of purchase.

    We reserve the right to refuse books returned in poor condition

    Our goal is to make the return procedure as painless as possible. If for any reason you are not happy with your merchandise you can return it within 30 days for a refund or exchange.

    Merchandise can be returned under the following conditions:

    • Merchandise is received within 30 days of the shipping date
    • Merchandise is in new condition
    • Merchandise is returned with all shipped material
    • We pay return postage on all damaged and defective items or items that were incorrectly shipped. Please contact us immediately to arrange for replacements to be reshipped and incorrect or defective items to be picked up. Contact us at 1-888-333-1995 Monday – Friday 8am- 6pm MT.

    Returns

    Use the Return Form that accompanied the merchandise shipment. We provide a pre-addressed shipping label for your convenience.

    • Complete the Return Form, indicating item(s) being returned and reason(s).
    • Securely pack your merchandise with the invoice.
    • Ship US Postal Service or UPS using the pre-addressed mailing label. Please insure your package.
    • We'll process your return within 7 days of receipt, though it will take longer to appear on your statement. (However, we do not refund return shipping charges, unless we made and error.) If you provided an email address, we'll notify you via email when your exchange has been received and processed.

    Exchanges

    You will not be charged for the shipment of your replacement item. Use the Return Form that accompanied the merchandise shipment. We provide a preaddressed shipping label for your convenience.

    • Complete the Return Form, indicating item(s) being exchanged and reason(s).
    • Securely pack your merchandise with the invoice.
    • Ship US Postal Service or UPS using the preaddressed mailing label. Please insure your package.
    • You pay return postage on exchanges or substitutions.
    • We'll process your exchange within 7 days of receipt, though it will take longer to appear on your statement. If you provided an email address, we'll notify you via email when your exchange has been received and processed.
    • If the requested exchange item is not available, you will receive credit to the original form of payment. Merchandise credits will be issued for gifts. If you paid with a gift card, the debited amount will be returned in the form of a new gift card.
